Summary Report: Comprehensive Study of WASH Facilities at RA School and Preschool Educational Institutions

Purpose and Objectives

Considering the vital significance of WASH facilities in ensuring a secure, clean, and resilient learning environment for children, UNICEF Armenia is undertaking an initiative to comprehensively assess the current state of WASH in public schools and preschools across the RA (hereinafter RA). This initiative aims to evaluate the situation, propose targeted solutions, and recommend national policies to bridge identified gaps. Aligned with this purpose, the report's scope includes:

1. an analysis of national and international WASH standards,

1. an assessment of the existing WASH situation in schools and preschool institutions in Armenia,

2. the designing of model solutions for WASH facilities, accompanied by relevant cost estimates.
